The Australian Women’s Pest Management Association (AWPMA) is open to all women in the pest management industry. Our group is made up of all kinds of roles and positions held by women in the pest control industry from technicians in the field, office staff, business owners, chemical reps and trainees.

AEPMA and AWPMA Announce Merger

In a groundbreaking move to strengthen and enhance the Australian pest management industry, in December 2023, the Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association (AEPMA) and the Australian Women’s Pest Management Association (AWPMA) proudly announced their merger.

Collaboration for a Stronger Future

This historic merger is driven by a shared commitment to foster collaboration and inclusivity within the pest management sector. The combined efforts of AEPMA and AWPMA aim to create a more robust and supportive community of professionals, with a specific focus on empowering and promoting women in the field.

Key Outcomes of the Merger

Administrative Support and Efficiency: AEPMA will provide essential administrative support to streamline AWPMA’s operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in serving its members.

Unified Online Presence: AWPMA’s online presence will be redirected to aepma.com.au/awpma, featuring AWPMA branding and information. AEPMA will maintain the website, ensuring a seamless experience for members.

Financial Stability: AEPMA will manage financial aspects, providing accurate bank reconciliation and regular accounting reports. The merger ensures financial stability while upholding transparency and accountability.

Empowered Sponsorship Agreements: AEPMA will guide and support AWPMA in fostering sponsorship agreements, contributing to the association’s overall business interests.

Professional Development Fund: AWPMA’s existing funds will be used to establish a dedicated Professional Development Fund under AEPMA’s stewardship, supporting women in the pest control industry in personal development activities.

Commitment to Excellence

The merged entities are committed to maintaining and enhancing the industry’s excellence, with a focus on recognising the achievements of women through awards such as the AWPMA Excellence Award.
